Bess Auer is the third generation in her family to be born and raised in Winter Park, Florida. For 15 years Bess has taught middle school English in addition to her freelance writing. Her first novel “Soul Conspiracy” (unpublished) was one of eight finalists from over 200 submissions in the 1998 International Hemingway Novel Competition. Her second novel, “Confessions of a Gator Cheerleader” (2005) reached a top three ranking in regional sales on Amazon.com. (And, yes, she was a cheerleader at the University of Florida!)
An avid blogger, Bess founded the Central Florida Top 5, which was voted “Best Neighborhood Blog” by the Orlando Sentinel in 2009. She now blogs and does marketing for Florida Swim Network. She lives in Central Florida with her husband and son as well as three dogs and three cats.
